Mexican tourists killed by Egyptian security forces

Security forces in Egypt have mistakenly killed 12 people, including Mexican tourists, during an anti-terror operation, the interior ministry says.

The tourists were travelling in four vehicles that entered a restricted zone in the Wahat area of the Western Desert, a ministry statement said.

Ten Mexicans and Egyptians were also injured and are being treated in a local hospital.

The ministry said it had formed a team to investigate the incident.

Mexico's President Enrique Pena Nieto condemned the incident and said he had "demanded an exhaustive investigation by the Egyptian government".

The Mexican foreign ministry confirmed that at least two of its nationals had been killed and said it was working to confirm the identities of the other victims.

In a statement, it said Mexico's ambassador in Egypt, Jorge Alvarez Fuentes, had visited the local hospital and spoken to five Mexicans who were in a stable condition.

'Mistakenly dealt with'

The statement (in Arabic) from Egypt's interior ministry said the four vehicles the tourists were travelling in were "mistakenly dealt with" during a joint military police and armed forces operation.

It said the incident happened on Sunday in an area that "was off limits to foreign tourists" but it did not give an exact location.

The tour company transporting the tourists "did not have permits and did not inform authorities", tourism ministry spokesman Rasha Azaz told the AP news agency.

The vast Western Desert area is popular with foreign sightseers, but is also attractive to militants, reports the BBC's Orla Guerin in Cairo.

A joint force from the Egyptian police and military was pursuing militants in the area - which borders Libya - when the incident happened, officials say.

The region is a gateway to the long border and weapons are available on the other side, our correspondent adds.

On Sunday, the Islamic State (IS) group in Egypt claimed it had "resisted a military operation" in the desert.

A group claiming to be affiliated with IS also said on Sunday that it was present in Farafra.

The insurgency in Egypt gathered momentum after the army overthrew Islamist President Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood in mid-2013 following protests against his rule.

The government says hundreds of police and soldiers have been killed, many of them in attacks claimed by IS's Sinai Province affiliate.

Up until recently most of the fighting has taken place in the Sinai Peninsula with occasional attacks taking place in Cairo and other cities.

In July, Egypt vowed to rid the Sinai Peninsula of militants after major clashes with IS fighters there killed more than 100 people.

It said that operations will not stop until the area is cleared of militants

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is an upcoming action-adventure third-person shooter platform video game published by Sony Computer Entertainment and developed byNaughty Dog for the PlayStation 4 video game console. The game is set to release on March 18, 2016

                 Set three years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, Nathan Drake, now retired as a fortune hunter, has settled into a normal life with his wife Elena Fisher. His world is then turned upside down when his older brother Sam, long believed dead, suddenly appears seeking Drake's help. Together they embark on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a conspiracy behind a long lost pirate colony and its fabled pirate treasure. Naughty Dog outlined the game's plot as "his greatest adventure yet and will test his physical limits, his resolve, and his relationships.

On November 14, 2013, Naughty Dog released a teaser trailer for a new Uncharted game, saying that it will be released for the PlayStation 4. The trailer featured voice over by Todd Stashwick, who was to play Sam, Nathan Drake's older brother, in the game.^[3][4] The trailer shows an ancient map of the African continent while the voice over can be heard. The map stops at Madagascar and Île Sainte-Marie is marked, which was part of Francis Drake's travel route. A Latin sentence is written next to the drawing of a skull: Hodie mecum eris in paradiso (which translates to "Today shalt thou be with me in paradise"), a quote from the Book of Luke 23:43.^[5]

In March 2014, it was announced that Amy Hennig, the series writer and creative director, and Justin Richmond, the game director of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception andUncharted 4: A Thief's End at the time, had both left the studio, joining Visceral Games and Riot Games, respectively.^[6][7][8] In April 2014, Todd Stashwick, who voiced the narrator in the teaser trailer and was set to play Sam in the game, was announced to no longer be involved in the game, with the role being recast.^[9]

In June 2014, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells revealed that game directors for The Last of Us, Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, were now leading the project in Hennig's absence.^[10] As a result, many of the story elements and eight months of shooting were scrapped and abandoned.^[11] At the Sony E3 2014 press conference in June 2014, the title of the game was revealed to be Uncharted 4: A Thief's End along with a 2015 release window.^[12] On December 6, 2014, a gameplay demo ofUncharted 4 was shown as the initial presentation of the PlayStation Experience. Troy Baker later confirmed via Twitter that he had voiced Drake's older brother Sam, who appeared in the demo opposite Nathan Drake.^[13]

On June 16, 2015, a new demo was showcased at the end of Sony's E3 Press Conference. The demo featured a much bigger environment, large amounts of destruction, new combat moves, and the return of Nathan Drake's mentor, Victor Sullivan. An extended trailer at an E3 press briefing also revealed the return of Nathan's wife Elena Fisher.^[14] On July 8, 2015, it was announced that Robin Atkin Downes would be involved in the game.^[15] While Naughty Dog originally targeted a rate of 60 frames per second for the whole game,^[16] it was announced that a 30 frames per second rate is now being targeted for the campaign, while 60 frames per second is still being targeted for the multiplayer modes.^[17] Naughty Dog previously expressed difficulties in getting the game to reach 60 frames per second,^[18] but at some point explained that they'd drop the idea if it compromised the player's experience of playing the game

Apple Watch vs Samsung Gear 2

Apple introduced its new Apple Watch at it's Keynote Event in Cupertino, Calif.

Apple's Sept. 9 press conference was mainly to unveil the iPhone 6 but some details about the previously dubbed "iWatch" now called the Apple Watch were also revealed. It seems the unveiling of the watch came just in time before Motorola is to release their Moto 360.

Still, even with the impending release of the Moto 360, Apple still has to face their rival Samsung in the release of smartwatches, which Samsung has been doing long before Apple released the Apple Watch. The latest offering the South Korean company, the Gear 2 is currently Apple's most recent competition in the smartwatch market.

Both watches share a square-face design with a few differences on the side. With the Apple Watch, it has a single knob and button on the side. The Gear 2 on the other hand has a home button at the bottom part of the watch and a 2-megapixel camera to the top of the watch.

A slew of features were unveiled during the Sept. 9 press conference. Basically, the Apple Watch works as a wrist-hub connected to a user's iPhone and works to display any incoming notifications, messages, and Siri eliminating the need for users to take their phones out everytime a new notification is received.

The Apple Watch runs on a custom S1 SiP (System in Package) chip and is equipped with a GPS, an accelerometer, a heart-rate sensor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and is protected with a sapphire glass cover.

The Gear 2 on the other hand features a 1.0 GHz dual-core Exynos 3250 system-on-chip, 512MB RAM, and 4GB of internal memory. The Samsung smartwatch shares similar features with the Apple Watch but can also operate on its own as a stand-alone device.

As for compatibility, the Apple Watch is only compatible with the iPhone. The same goes with the Gear 2, only offering compatibility with Samsung devices like the Galaxy S smartphone series and the Galaxy Note phablet series.
